Conclusion

The presented compilation is an attempt to catalog the morphological and coloristic features that comprise the phenotype of daylily flower. I am fully aware of the imperfection of this study, because I’ve conducted it on the basis of available analysis of achievements and photographic documentation of others, since I didn’t have sufficient personal experience. I did it spontaneously for the use of those who in our country take the attempts to creatively breed the daylilies – process that is significantly delayed in the terms of achieved effects, in comparison to world leaders. As it can be concluded from this compilation, the daylily is a plant that is (in its diverse botanical incarnations) equipped by nature with a wide range of features that are subject to the breeding treatments. This creates the prospect of endless possibilities in undertaking creative breeding programs, innovative achievements and unexpected satisfactions. I hopefully leave you with this message and such wishes.   Łódź, Spring 2010
