On Saturday, July 16 \u2013 after<br \/>\nthe arrival and registration of participants \/25 people arrived\/ \u2013 a seminar dedicated to daylily<br \/>\nbreeding and cultivation issues began at 5:00 PM.<\/p>\n<p>On behalf of the Hosts, Tadeusz Kosmus welcomed the participants of the meeting.<\/p>\n<p>At the beginning, the participants observed a moment of silence to honor the memory of Micha\u0142 Jadczyk, a distinguished<br \/>\nmember of the Hemerocallis Club and the daylily community, who passed away on July 1.<\/p>\n<p>The seminar included the following presentations:<\/p>\n<ul>\n\u00a0\t<\/p>\n<li><b style=\"color: red;\">Tadeusz Kosmus<\/b> &#8220;New fertilizers and products for use in daylily cultivation&#8221; The presenter discussed the composition and properties of the following preparations: Wapno Microflora, Bioilsa 6-5-13, and Carbohumic, as well as their enriching effect on the soil.<\/li>\n<p>\u00a0\t<\/p>\n<li><b style=\"color: red;\">Artur Jasi\u0144ski<\/b> raised the issue of daylily polyploidy in categories higher than tetraploids, drawing attention to the debatable value of methodologies using flow cytometry and the breeding stability of plants obtained through this method.<\/li>\n<p>\u00a0\t<\/p>\n<li><b style=\"color: red;\">Gra\u017cyna \u015awi\u0105tkowska<\/b> presented photos of the most interesting daylily seedlings from recent years of her breeding work.<\/li>\n<p>\u00a0\t<\/p>\n<li><b style=\"color: red;\">Tadeusz Kotula<\/b> presented the evolution of breeding lines using examples of his own seedlings\/varieties.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-large wp-image-9367\" src=\"https:\/\/liliowce.net\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/05\/Screenshot-2023-05-08-at-16.52.24.png\" alt=\"\" width=\"875\" height=\"405\" \/><\/p>\n<p>Following the presentations, it was time for questions and a discussion on the topics presented.<\/p>\n<p>Traditionally, the day concluded with a gala dinner, which featured regional dishes and conversations, exchange of opinions, and experiences that lasted late into the night.<\/p>\n<p>The second day began with a shared breakfast, after which everyone went to Tadeusz Kotula&#8217;s Maravilla breeding farm. The beautiful sunny day was perfect for immersing oneself among the fields of overgrown daylily clumps, contemplating individual seedlings and varieties; the speculations and admiration were endless.
